#121/365--Shopping, etc.

I had a hair appointment today, so we (Allie and me) turned it into a "Girl Day!" We got pedi's, eyebrow waxes, haircuts, and then went shopping. I got this cute outfit (from my kids for mother's day--an early gift, thank you sweet kids)--this is me trying it on in the dressing room at Kohl's...I texted the picture to Lauren to see if she thought I should get it...she replied, "Yesss!" So, I took that as a yes, and I bought it.

On our way to visit Mike--stuck in traffic. Couldn't decide which pic to use..so I'm posting both. The second is from dinner--Mike and I had Genghis Grill and we sat out on the patio...sunset was beautiful.

Made my own little version of bundtlettes and homemade glaze. Yum. Not sure if you can tell from the picture but they are so so cute! (And when you say cute...you have to pronounce it key-you-t!)

#116/365--Brother-Sister time

As I yell at my kids to go brush their teeth and get ready for bed, I look down the hall and only see Lauren's light on and hear the two kids talking. I hollar one more time and get the response, "Ok mom, in a minute! We're having 'Brother-Sister Time' " Wondering to myself, "ok...this is unusual...what is this 'Brother-Sister time'" I walk down the hall and see this:

They were making bracelets together. No arguing...simply sharing--materials, ideas, conversation...Brother-Sister Time.
