#38/365--Just a trim

Today, I was going to take my dog, Sandy, to get her groomed. It's been awhile. I don't know if you've ever experienced a dog whose hair grows out quickly but it gets to a certain point that bathing and brushing only tangle it worse. Poor Sandy. The groomer didn't have an opening today, so I prepared myself to give her "just a trim." You know. I just wanted to get out some of the mattedness.



I think I traumatized my dog. She vomited 3 times after this wonderful, at-home, spa treatment. Who said I could never be a hair-stylist...? She doesn't look so bad. :)

((P.S. no, that's not a picture of her...that's all the hair I cut off of her...I can't get her to come out from under the bed for a picture..maybe I'll add one later on?))

#37/365--Lunch at Jason's

Hmmm. What a predicament. I had lunch with Allie at Jason's deli and I didn't take a picture. I wonder if I have an old picture of Allie that I can use....somewhere...



Ahh...yes. Here she is with our friend, Nicole. No, this wasn't taken yesterday, because I am a loser and forgot my camera. That was about the extent of my activities yesterday--lunch, Walgreens, and then home for an afternoon nap. Thanks for lunch, Allie!

It's up, It's down...where are the gas prices going these days? On my way to Frisco for a date night--needed to get gas, thought this was a cool picture.

#35/365--Assessment

Well, I spent all day Thursday assessing my KinderKiddos on their pre-reading and reading skills. It's always good to see their progress. We have a new assessment this year, second time to give it this year and it is a learning process for us all. I think it went as smooth as it could have gone. And now, this week...on to yet MORE assessment!! :)

#34/365--Lightning Thief

Mikey and I just began reading this book--separately, but together--he is reading the book he checked out from the library and I am reading on the Kindle. Very good so far. Love reading with my kids! :)

#33/365--Prep Work

Tomorrow is the 100th day of school! This is a huge deal for Kindergarten. We've made it this far and there are only 76 days left to go at this point! It has been a long, hard journey, and we aren't done yet. However, it's a break to celebrate (in sets of 10) the accomplishments we've made so far. As you can see from the picture, part of our day is making and eating a snack of 100 pieces (10 pieces each of: m&m's, marshmellows, pretzels, teddy grahams, skittles, goldfish, cheerios, fruit loops, raisins, chocolate chips). This, of course, is my favorite part of this day!

#32/365--Day Off

Ok. I'm taking a day off. As you have seen there are days where I posted more than one picture so...it counts. I think I'm depressed. Maybe it's hormonal. I dunno. Maybe I'm fighting off the Rhinovirus. Either way...I wish I was a bear. I want to hibernate til spring.
