#183/365--Beginning of the Second Half

And today's post (July 2, 2010) marks the beginning of the second half of the year (and also my mom's birthday--Happy Birthday MOM!!).  Today was also Friday, the start of a holiday weekend and so, the kids and I went to celebrate at the ballpark with Mike and Makenzie.  We started on rain delay.

Originally, the game was suppose to start at 7:05.  Eventually, the rain died down and the grounds' guys came out and took the tarp off of the field.

Over the next 45-50 minutes, the grounds crew got the field "Baseball Ready..."

...and eventually, the players came out and the game officially started at 9:30. 

This made for a VERY late night.  And unfortunately it ended in a loss for our Rangers.

However, we still got to watch fireworks at a little after midnight, which made it partially worth it!
